How To Keep New Years Resolutions
Monday, November 26th, 2007It’s almost the close of another year, and like everyone else, there are probably a few things you’d like to do differently in the New Year. Ok, maybe there are a LOT of things you would like to do differently, but January 1st is a fresh start, so why not take the clichéd idea of a New Years Resolutions seriously this year? Don’t follow my example, which is to half heartedly make resolutions I will never keep.
The first (and hardest) step is coming up with actual resolutions. This will mean admitting you are not perfect. Beware.
Be specific with your resolutions; don’t write down that you will try to be less lazy. Instead opt for a more active resolution like, “I will exercise more regularly,” or “I will read more.”
It’s also important not to chose goals that are too broad, because they might seem too big to take on when the New Year rolls around. Instead of just resolving to join a gym, which may be a waste of money if your time is limited, perhaps resolve to try easier weight loss solutions such as:
