How To Keep New Years Resolutions
It’s almost the close of another year, and like everyone else, there are probably a few things you’d like to do differently in the New Year. Ok, maybe there are a LOT of things you would like to do differently, but January 1st is a fresh start, so why not take the clichéd idea of a New Years Resolutions seriously this year? Don’t follow my example, which is to half heartedly make resolutions I will never keep.
The first (and hardest) step is coming up with actual resolutions. This will mean admitting you are not perfect. Beware.
Be specific with your resolutions; don’t write down that you will try to be less lazy. Instead opt for a more active resolution like, “I will exercise more regularly,” or “I will read more.”
It’s also important not to chose goals that are too broad, because they might seem too big to take on when the New Year rolls around. Instead of just resolving to join a gym, which may be a waste of money if your time is limited, perhaps resolve to try easier weight loss solutions such as:
Improve your eating habits and research diet products using one of the many informational weight loss sites or blogs, a good place to start is: WeighTheFAQS.com which is packed full of weight loss facts and tips from Miss Jane. She’s totally in the know of what to eat, how to exercise, and what products are right for you.
You should also try and find alternatives to behaviors you want to change, and incorporate them into your resolution plan. If you want to quit smoking, then try finding other means to relax or calm your nerves. It could be anything from massages, to vegging out on the couch, to meditation. The most important thing to remember when making a plan is aim for goals that are important to you, and not what you think everyone else expects you accomplish.
To stick to your New Year’s resolutions, you shouldn’t overdo it. Choose 1-3 resolutions that you know you can accomplish. There is no sense to attempting ten resolutions and then getting frustrated. You should also inform your friends and family about your resolutions so that you have support and friendly reminders to keep on track. It’s also smart to give yourself positive reinforcement along the way to keep yourself motivated. Treat yourself when you’ve reached a benchmark on the way to success.
Finally, be patient! Rome wasn’t built in a day, so wait until spring to decide whether or not to abandon the goal.

I found this book while desperately trying to find a “quick fix” weight loss program, and ended up with a book that has enabled me to entirely change my lifestyle! This book inspired me to analyze how I live my life with food, and motivated me to find ways to improve. In my opinion, this book is the first step to a new you. I have lost weight, have loads more energy, and am practically giddy most days because of my new-found freedom from bad food! If you have tried every weight loss trick in the book (and failed miserably as I did), buy this book! I get compliments everyday about how much healthier I look….and I feel even better! My family cannot believe the difference! The title of the book could not speak more truth…..
